Wilson Cup revived

It has been announced that the Wilson Cup will be held in March, returning from a four year hiatus. The Wilson Cup was first competed in 2007 and involves the New South Wales based teams of the Australian Ice Hockey League. The tournament will consist of the Newcastle North Stars, Sydney Bears and Sydney Ice Dogs. The first game is scheduled for March 16 with the North Stars up against the Bears at the Hunter Ice Skating Stadium.

The Central Coast Rhinos who previously competed in the AIHL and Wilson Cup will not return to defend their 2009 title.
