The Sydney Sabres have defeated the Melbourne Whalers 4-3 in the Australian Junior Ice Hockey League (AJIHL) Grand Final. The win makes it the teams first title and caps of the season for the Sabres after they won the regular season title. The win also makes it the second AJIHL final to have been won by a Sydney team after the Sydney Wolf Pack, playing as the Maple Leafs won last year.
