The Sydney Sabres have defeated the Australian national under-18 team 5-4 in an exhibition game held on Sunday at the Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink. The game served as a warmup for the Sabres whose AJIHL season starts on 31 October against the Sydney Wolf Pack at the Penrith Ice Palace.
