Australian U18 Women lose to EHC Gipsy Girls Villach

The Australian women’s national under-18 team have lost their exhibition game 1-3 against EHC Gipsy Girls Villach at the Eishalle Radenthein. The game is being held as part of the teams training camp before the start of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Qualification tournament in Spittal an der Drau and Radenthein, Austria which begins on 7 January. The Australian’s let two goals through in the first period before getting one back with Courtney Poole scoring three minutes into the second period. The Gipsy Girls responded with their own goal with the second period finishing 1-3. The score remained unchanged through the third with the game ending 1-3.
