2016 AW2IHL: Series 3

Series 3 of the 2016 Australian Women’s Tier 2 Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Western Australian Hawkettes claiming first place after winning all six of their games. The win gives the Hawkettes their second series win for 2016 after they won Series 2 in July. The New South Wales Bombers claim first place in the 2016 Combined Series standings, seven points clear of the second placed Canberra Pirates.

Series 3 saw the league shrink back to a four team competition with the withdrawal of the South Australian Valkyries and the Melbourne White Dragons. The Valkyries competed in Series 2 while the White Dragons competed in both Series 1 and Series 2.
