The Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League have announced the renewal of their partnership with Skaters Network for the upcoming 2016-17 season. As part of the deal the league will announce an AWIHL Skaters Network Player of the Month over the course of the season. The 2016-17 season gets underway on 29 October with the Sydney Sirens hosting the Adelaide Rush and the Melbourne Ice taking on the Brisbane Goannas in Melbourne.
