Round 1 of the 2016-17 Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League season has finished with wins for the Sydney Sirens, Brisbane Goannas and Melbourne Ice. The Sirens top the standings with six points after being the only team to win both games of the round. Competition resumes in two weeks with the Rush hosting the Ice on 12 and 13 November at the Adelaide Ice Arena.
