2017 World Championships: Australia beat Iceland

The Australian men’s national team won their second game of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division II Group A tournament, defeating Iceland 3-2. Goaltender Anthony Kimlin was named best Australian player of the match for the second game in a row after stopping 28 of 30 shots on goal. In other games of the day the Belgium defeated Spain 5-3 and Romania beat Serbia 4-1. At the end of the second round Australia have moved up to second place, trailing the leader Romania by one point. The teams have a rest day today before returning on Thursday where Australia take on Spain.
