Pirates lose to Saints and Bears

The Canberra Pirates have lost two 2017 NSW Women’s League games over the weekend. The team lost their first game to the LCC Saints Women 1-5 before taking on the Sydney Bears Women in their second match where they were shutout 0-5. The team currently sit in last place on the standings, 15 points behind the LCC Saints who lead the league.

The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition in July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the Newcastle Northstars Women on 3 June at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre.
