2017 Inline World Championships: Australia win bronze

The Australian men’s national inline hockey team have defeated Great Britain 7-3 in the bronze medal match of the 2017 IIHF Inline World Championship Division I tournament. Goaltender Michael James was named best Australian player of the match, his third for the tournament. In the gold medal match Slovenia defeated Latvia 6-3 to gain promotion back to the Top Division of the World Championships. In the relegation game Argentina beat Hungary 5-4 following a shootout to remain in Division I while Hungary is relegated to the Qualification tournaments. The win for Australia gives them their fourth medal in Division I, having previously won two silvers and a bronze.
