The Perth team looking to enter the Australian Women’s Ice Hockey League for the 2018-19 season have been named the Perth Inferno. Tryouts for the Inferno will be held on 7 and 14 November at the Cockburn Ice Arena. The Inferno will compete in two exhibition games on 17 and 18 February against the Sydney Sirens at the Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink and Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink.
Last month the Western Australian team competing in the Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series played in an exhibition game against the Melbourne Ice as part of their bid to enter the AWIHL. Western Australia lost the match 2-3.
