Melbourne Ice

  • The Ice have announced the signing of goaltender James Downie for the 2018 season. Downie has spent the last three seasons playing for the Sydney Bears and is currently in North America playing for playing for Meijer AAA Hockey. In the AIHL Downie currently has a save percentage of 0.844 from 17 games. For more information see the announcement from the club.

Melbourne Mustangs

  • The Mustangs have announced the signing of Maxime Langelier-Parent as head coach for the upcoming 2018 season. Langelier-Parent joined the club last season as an import player, recording 36 points in 18 games, and also served as an assistant coach for part of the season while out with injury. Langelier-Parent replaces Michael Flaherty who served as head coach during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. For more information see the announcement from the club.
