2018 U18 Women’s World Championship: Poland beat Australia

The Australian Women’s national under-18 team have lost to Poland 2–8 in their second game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. Forward Madison Poole was named best Australian player of the game. In other games of the day France defeated Great Britain 2–0 and Denmark beat China 10–0. After two rounds Australia have moved up to fifth in the standings, six points behind table leaders Denmark. The teams have a rest day today before returning on Tuesday where Australia take on Great Britain. The last time these two teams met was at the 2016 Division I Qualification tournament where Australia lost 2–3.
