2018 U18 Women’s World Championship: Australia loses to Great Britain

The Australian Women’s national under-18 team have lost to Great Britain 1–5 in their third game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B tournament. Forward Sara Sammons was named best Australian player of the game after recording the teams only goal. In other games of the day France defeated China 5–2 and Denmark beat Poland 3–1. After three rounds Australia remain fifth in the standings, nine points behind table leaders Denmark. The teams have a rest day today before returning on Thursday where Australia take on Denmark. The two teams last met just before the tournament in an exhibition game with Denmark winning 10–0.
