2018 U20 World Championships: Australia finish with a loss

The Australian men’s national under-20 team have lost 1-6 to China in their final game of the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey U20 World Championship Division III tournament. Findlay Wood was named best Australian player of the match and Aiden Sillato was named best Australian player of the tournament. In other games of the day Israel defeated New Zealand 5-0 and Bulgaria beat Iceland 3-2. Australia finishes the tournament in fifth place, Israel finishes in first place and New Zealand finishes last. As a result, Israel is promoted to Division II Group B for 2019 and New Zealand is relegated to Division III Qualification.
