The Australian women’s national under-18 team have lost 2-6 to Chinese Taipei in their bronze medal match of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B Qualification tournament. Nikki Sharp was named best Australian player of the match and Emily Davis-Tope was selected as best Australian player of the tournament. In the other games played Spain shutout Turkey 7-0 in their placement game to finish fifth and South Korea beat Kazakhstan 4-3 after a shootout to win the gold medal and earn promotion to Division I Group B for 2020.
