2019 U18 World Championships: Australia loses to China

The Australian men’s national under-18 team have lost 2–4 to China in their third game of the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship Division II Group B. Defender Declan Bronte was named the best Australian player of the game. In other games of the day Croatia beat Belgium 7–2 and the Netherlands defeated Serbia 2–1 in overtime. After the end of third round Australia remains in fifth place on the standings while China has moved up into first place. The teams have a rest day today and return on Saturday where Australia will take on Belgium. The two teams last met in 2017 at the World Championship Division II Group B tournament where Australia won 5–1.
