2020 Women’s World Championships: Australia beat Ukraine

The Australian women’s national team have defeated Ukraine 9-1 in their fourth game of the 2020 IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship Division II Group B tournament. Forward Natasha Farrier scored a hat-trick and three assists and was named best Australian player of the match, her second for the tournament. In other games of the day New Zealand defeated Turkey 2-1 and Iceland beat Croatia 7-0. At the end of the fourth round Australia remain in first place, three points clear of Iceland and New Zealand. The teams have a rest day today and return tomorrow where Australia takes on New Zealand for their final game of the tournament. The last time these two teams met was at the 2016 World Championships where Australia won 12-1.
