Ice Hockey Queensland, along with the Brisbane Buccaneers and Southern Stars, have announced that they are in talks to create a team to participate in the Australian Ice Hockey League. Ice Hockey Queensland previously endorsed the Brisbane Rampage in their attempt to enter the league. This was however withdrawn following the Rampage’s decision to join the newly formed Pacific Hockey League instead.
