CBR Brave 2019 roster

The CBR Brave have released their roster for the 2019 season

New players to the team include Spencer Austin (Sydney Bears), Andy Camenzind, Matt Climie (HDD Jesenice), Jordan Draper (Scorpions de Mulhouse), Adam Kambeitz (Rapaces de Gap), Brayden Low (Reading Royals) and Tyler Mayea (Newfoundland Growlers).

While dropped from the roster are Channing Bresciani (HC Fassa Falcons), James Byers, Darcy Flanagan (Melbourne Ice), Jordan Gavin (retired), Trevor Gerling (Huntsville Havoc), Per Daniel Göransson, Matt Hewitt (HC Fassa Falcons), Chris Leveille (Brampton Beast), Christopher McPhail, Ainars Podzins (Lions de Lyon) and Tynan Theobald.

Brave sign Mayea

The CBR Brave have announced the signing of Canadian defenceman Tyler Mayea for the 2019 season. Mayea spent the 2018-19 season playing for Ontario Tech University in the U Sports system and the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL. Mayea recorded 18 points from 30 games for Ontario Tech University before signing with the Growlers. In the ECHL he played eight games, recording two points and a -5 plus/minus, before being released by the Growlers. For more information see the announcement from the club.

Brave sign Climie

The CBR Brave have announced the signing of Canadian goaltender Matt Climie for the 2019 season. Climie started his 2018-19 season playinf for HC TWK Innsbruck in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga where he posted a 0.771 save percentage from three games. He then left Innsbruck and signed with the Sheffield Steelers of the Elite Ice Hockey League where he played eleven games and recorded a 0.896 save percentage before being released. After being released from the Steelers Climie joined HDD Jesenice of the Alps Hockey League. Playing seven games in their regular season Climie posted a 0.926 save percentage before advancing to playoffs where he recorded a 0.956 save percentage from eleven games. Brave re-sign Hughes

The CBR Brave have re-signed Australian forward Joey Hughes for the upcoming 2019 season. Hughes joined the Brave in 2018 where he recorded 32 points from 22 games. The 2019 season will be his thirteenth season in the AIHL having played a total of 227 games and recording 379 points for the Melbourne Ice, Melbourne Mustangs and CBR Brave.
