2015-16 AJIHL season: Round 7

Round 7 of the 2015-16 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Melbourne Glaciers, Perth Sharks, Perth Pelicans and Sydney Wolf Pack. The Glaciers remain on top of the standings, seven points clear of the second placed Wolf Pack. Next week consists of just one game with the Glaciers taking on the Whalers at the O’Brien Group Arena.

2015-16 AJIHL season: Round 6

Round 6 of the 2015-16 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Sydney Sabres, Perth Sharks, Sydney Wolf Pack and Melbourne Glaciers. The Glaciers remain on top of the standings, four points clear of the second placed Wolf Pack. Next week the two Melbourne teams travel to Perth and the Sabres take on the Wolf Pack at the Penrith Ice Palace.

2015-16 AJIHL season: Round 5

Round 5 of the 2015-16 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Melbourne Glaciers and Perth Pelicans. The Glaciers remain on top of the standings, three points clear of the Pelicans who moved into second place after their win over the Sharks. Next week the Pelicans travel to Penrith to take on the two Sydney teams while the two Melbourne teams host the Perth Sharks at the O’Brien Group Arena.

The Melbourne Glaciers remain on top of the standings, one point clear of the second placed Sydney Wolf Pack. Next week the two Melbourne teams face-off at the O’Brien Group Arena and the Sharks take on the Pelicans at the Xtreme Ice Arena.

Round 3 of the 2015-16 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League kicks has finished with wins for the Perth Pelicans and Sydney Sabres. Despite not playing the Melbourne Glaciers remain on top of the standings, one point clear of the second placed Wolf Pack. Next weekend the Sharks take on the Pelicans at the Xtreme Ice Arena in the only game of the round.

2015-16 AJIHL season: Round 1

Round 1 of the 2015-16 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League has finished with wins for the Melbourne Whalers, Sydney Wolf Pack and Perth Pelicans. The Wolf Pack sit on top of the standings at the end of the round, three points clear of the Pelicans. Next week the two Melbourne teams face-off for a Thursday night game before hosting the two Sydney teams on the weekend. The two Perth teams meanwhile take on each other at the Xtreme Ice Arena on Saturday.

2014-15 AJIHL Season: Finals

The Sydney Wolf Pack have won the 2015 AJIHL Finals after defeating the Perth Pelicans 7-6 in overtime. The Wolf Pack advanced to the grand final against the Pelicans after they defeated the Melbourne Glaciers 1-0 in the preliminary final. The win gives the Wolf Pack their second title after the team won the inaugural AJIHL Playoffs in 2013, known then as the Sydney Maple Leafs.

2014-15 AJIHL Season: VIC and WA Finals

The State finals have finished with the Perth Pelicans and Melbourne Glaciers advancing to next weeks 2015 AJIHL finals. The Pelicans defeated top of the ladder Sharks 6-4 to advance to the finals while the Glaciers beat the Whalers 5-2. The New South Wales final was held last week with the Sydney Wolf Pack claiming their spot in the finals with a 3-0 win over the Sabres. As the highest placed qualifier from the regular season the Glaciers advance straight to the grand final on 1 March while the Pelicans and Wolf Pack will playoff in the preliminary final for their chance in the grand final.

Edit: Appears that the predictions we made on who was versing who in the finals were incorrect. The Pelicans advance straight to the grand final while the Wolf Pack take on the Glaciers in the preliminary final. This is due to the AJIHL basing the rankings for the playoffs on interstate games, rather then the entire regular season standings. See below for the interstate standings.

2014-15 AJIHL Season: Round 13 & NSW Final

The final round of the 2014-15 AJIHL season has finished with wins for the Melbourne Glaciers, Perth Pelicans and Perth Sharks. Following their wins the Sharks moved into first place in the standings and claimed the regular season title. The two Perth teams finish the season with only 13 games played after their 15 November game had to be cancelled and plans to reschedule the game never materialised. Next week the two Perth teams take on each other in the Western Australian final and the Melbourne teams face-off in the Victorian final.

In the playoffs the Sydney Wolf Pack defeated the Sydney Sabres 3-0 in the New South Wales final. The Wolf Pack now advance to the AJIHL finals which are to be held on 28 February and 1 March at the Medibank Icehouse in Melbourne.
