Perth Thunder
– The Thunder have announced the signing of goaltender Peter Di Salvo for the 2017 season. Di Salvo previously played six games for the Thunder during the 2015 season where he was signed on an interim basis to cover for the injured Mark Guggenberger. Di Salvo has spent the 2016-17 season playing for the Mississippi RiverKings in the Southern Professional Hockey League as well as being loaned out to the Wichita Thunder and Allen Americans of the ECHL. Sydney Ice Dogs
– The Ice Dogs have announced the return of defenceman Shannon McGregor for the 2017 season. McGregor last played for the Ice Dogs in 2015 before taking a year out from the AIHL. McGregor has played in a total of 193 games for the Ice Dogs, recording a total of 34 points. He is also a former member of the Australian national team, competing at the World Championships in 2014 and 2015. For more information see the announcement from the club.

Perth Thunder

  • Goaltender Peter Di Salvo has completed his short stint with the Thunder, finishing with six wins and a save percentage of 0.944. Di Salvo joined the club at the start of the season on an interim basis while the Thunder’s original signing was out due to injury. He now leaves the club due to international commitments and the Thunder is expected to make an announcement in regards to his replacement later in the week.

The Perth Thunder have announced the signing of goaltender Peter Di Salvo for the start of the 2015 season. Di Salvo has been signed on an interim basis until the clubs original signing recovers from injury which is expected to be late May. Di Salvo has spent the last two seasons playing in the Southern Professional Hockey League, most recently for the Mississippi Riverkings.
