Melbourne Ice
– The Ice have announced the signing of Sandy Gardner, Brent Laver and Glen Mayer as assistant coaches for the upcoming 2019 season. Gardner moves into the role having acted as interim head coach for the second half of the 2018 season, while Laver takes on the position having been development coach for the past two seasons. Mayer returns to the club, having previously been an assistant coach from 2014 to 2016.
– The Ice’s second annual pre-season Hockey Festival, Hockey X, will be held on 29-31 March 2019 and will feature four AIHL clubs, a Queensland All-Star team and the New Zealand men’s national team.

– The Ice have announced the signing of Brad Vigon to the position of head coach. Vigon replaces interim coach Sandy Gardner who had been in the role since June 2018 after the departure of Peter Ekroth. Vigon previously coached the Melbourne Mustangs from 2013 to 2015 and is the current head coach of the Australian men’s national team.

– The Ice have announced the signing of Sandy Gardner to the position of head coach for the remainder of the season. Gardner replaces Peter Ekroth who left the club at the end of May. Gardner previously held the position of head coach in 2013 and most recently was an assistant coach in 2017. He is joined by Mark Smith and Josh Velez who have also joined the coaching team as assistants. For more information see the announcement from the club
