2014 ECSL: Round 23

Round 23 of the 2014 ECSL season has finished with wins for the Sting and Newcastle North Stars. The Rebels remain on top of the standings, five points clear of the second placed Sting. Next week consists of four games with all six teams in action.

2014 AIHL Final

The Melbourne Mustangs have won the 2014 Goodall Cup final after defeating the Melbourne Ice 6-1 today at the Medibank Icehouse. The win earns the Mustangs their first Goodall Cup who also won the H Newman Reid Trophy this season after finishing first in the regular season.

The 2014 individual awards were also announced today with the Mustangs and Sydney Ice Dogs winning two of the awards each and the Ice and CBR Brave taking home one apiece.

2014 AIHL Semifinals

The 2014 Goodall Cup playoffs got underway today with both semifinals being held at the Medibank Icehouse. The first semifinal saw the Melbourne Mustangs defeat lasts years Goodall Cup winner, the Sydney Ice Dogs, 6-4 to qualify for their first ever Goodall Cup final. In the second semifinal the Melbourne Ice defeated the CBR Brave 6-1, setting up a Melbourne derby final.

2014 AIHL Season: Round 20

Round 20 of the 2014 AIHL season sees wins for the Perth Thunder, Melbourne Mustangs, CBR Brave and Sydney Ice Dogs. The Mustangs finish on top of the regular season standings with 54 points to win their first H Newman Reid Trophy. Next weekend is the playoffs with the Brave, Ice, Ice Dogs and Mustangs all in action on Saturday before the two winning teams come up against each other on Sunday in the Goodall Cup final.

Round 22 of the 2014 ECSL season has finished with wins for the Penrith Raptors, Newcastle North Stars and Reach Rebels. The Rebels remain on top of the standings, nine points clear of the second placed Sting. Next week the Sting take on the Blueline Bombers in Penrith, the North Stars play the Raptors and the Bombers come up against the Sting.

2014 AIHL Season: Round 19

Round 19 of the 2014 AIHL season sees wins for the Melbourne Ice, Sydney Ice Dogs, Adelaide Adrenaline and Melbourne Mustangs. The Mustangs remain on top of the standings, edging out the Melbourne Ice only on the number of games won. After this weekends play the Ice and Ice Dogs have filled the remaining two spots for the upcoming Goodall Cup playoffs. Next week consists of five games with only the Adelaide Adrenaline sitting out, having finished their regular season.

2014 ECSL: Round 21

Round 21 of the 2014 ECSL season has finished with a win for the Reach Rebels. The only other game of the weekend was the 2014 National Breast Cancer Foundation ECSL All Star Game which saw Team White defeat Team Pink 4-3 in overtime. The Rebels remain on top of the standings, seven points clear of the second placed Sting. Next week the Penrith Raptors play the Sydney Heat in Canterbury, the Newcastle North Stars take on the Blueline Bombers, and the Rebels come up against the Sting.
