Casey Kubara in tryout with the Johnstown Tomahawks

Reach Rebels’ Casey Kubara has headed to the United States to attend a tryout with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League. Kubara has spent the last two seasons playing in the East Coast Super League and the Australian Junior Ice Hockey League and has played one game for the Sydney Ice Dogs during the 2012 AIHL season.

Reinecke signs with the Providence Capitals

Reach Rebels player Yucca Reinecke has signed with the Providence Capitals to play in the Elite division of the United States Premier Hockey League. Reinecke recently relocated to the United States to study a Bachelor of Economics at Providence College in Rhode Island.

Manning signs with IFK Ore

Adelaide Adrenaline player David Manning has signed with IFK Ore of the Swedish Division 2 league, the fourth tier of ice hockey in Sweden. Manning who has been a member of both the Adelaide Avalanche and Adelaide Adrenaline since 2005 last played in Sweden in 2004 where he played in the Division 1 league for Limhamn HK.

2014-15 AWIHL Season: Round 1

The 2014-15 Australian Womens Ice Hockey League got underway this weekend past and saw wins for the Melbourne Ice and Adelaide Adrenaline. Adelaide tops the table after their two wins and are currently one point clear of the Melbourne Ice.

2014-15 AJIHL Season: Round 4

Round 4 of the 2014-15 AJIHL season consisted of only one game, with the Sydney Sabres defeating the Sydney Wolf Pack 4-1. The wins sees the Sabres move from fifth to fourth place in the standings while the Perth Clubs remain on top.

Round 3 of the 2014-15 AJIHL season consisted of just two games with the Perth Pelicans defeating both Melbourne teams. The wins sees the Pelicans move to the top of the table on even points with the Perth Sharks.

Central Coast Rhinos Announce Plans to Re-enter AIHL

The Central Coast Rhinos have announced that they have applied to re-enter the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) for the 2015 season at this weekends annual general meeting. The Rhinos played in the AIHL between 2005 and 2008 and left before the start of the 2009 season due to a disagreement on the leagues new licensing model. They most recently played a couple of exhibition games against the Sydney Bears in 2013 and 2014.

2014-15 AJIHL Season: Round 2

Round 2 of the 2014-15 AJIHL has finished with wins for the Melbourne Glaciers and Perth Sharks. The Sharks move to the top of the standings and are one point clear of the second placed Sydney Wolf Pack.

Slauenwhite signs with the Abu Dhabi Storms

Chris Slauenwhite has signed with the Abu Dhabi Storms for the 2014-15 Emirates Ice Hockey League season. Slauenwhite has previously played for the Adelaide Adrenaline, Sydney Bears and Canberra Knights and last season played for Töreboda HF in the Division 2 league, the fourth tier of ice hockey in Sweden.
