The 2016 Australian International Ice Hockey Cup got underway on Saturday with the Canada Maples defeating the USA Eagles 7-3 in Game 1. The series was then leveled yesterday with the USA Eagles claiming a 7-2 win in Game 2. The tournament is in its eighth year and runs from 2 July to 16 July with games being held at the Sydney Ice Arena and Erina Ice Arena. Last year’s tournament was won by the USA Eagles who defeated the Canada Maples five games to four.
