The Canberra Pirates have lost two 2017 NSW Women’s League games over the weekend. In their first game the Pirates were shutout 0-6 by the LCC Saints Women, the winners of the 2016 NSW Women’s League season at the Liverpool Catholic Club Ice Rink. The team then travelled to Canterbury for their second game, taking on the Canterbury Eagles Women where they were shutout 0-4.
The Pirates return to Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series competition in July for Series 2 of the East Division. While their next games in the Women’s League are against the LCC Saints Women and Sydney Bears Women on 28 May.
