Round 2 of the 2018 Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series has finished with the New South Wales Bombers extending their lead at the top of the standings. The Bombers are now six points clear of the second placed Canberra Pirates. All games are being held at the Ice Arena in Adelaide. The final round of the 2018 season will be held on 22 and 23 September in Melbourne.
Game 9 between the Southern Stars and Melbourne Dragons was replaced with an exhibition game between the Dragons and a team of South Australian Selects. The Dragons won the game 1-0. No reason was given for the change in schedule however the best guess is that the Stars had to leave the tournament early. So as a result we will show the game as a 5-0 forfeit in favour of the Dragons and will reflect this in the standings.
