The 2018 Kurt Defris National Championship has finished with Western Australia defeating Victoria 4-1 in the gold medal game. It was the second Kurt Defris title in a row for Western Australia having beat New South Wales in the 2017 final. The tournament is open to players 15 and under and is held between the State Associations. This year’s tournament consisted of teams from the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. The Australian Capital Territory returned to the tournament after not competing in 2017. All games were held at the Phillip Ice Skating Centre and the tournament ran from 1 August to 5 August 2018.
