Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2021-22 season. Today is Part 2 of 3 featuring Australians in Canada.
Bodie Jerome: First season with the Yale Hockey Academy. Primarily playing on their under-15 Varsity team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s (CSSHL) Varsity U15 division Jerome finished third in scoring with 55 points from 35 games. He also made a brief two game appearance for their under-15 Prep team in the CSSHL’s U15 division, recording one point.
Tyler Keyes: Second season with AMP Academy. Playing on their under-17 Prep team in the Hockey Super League’s U17 division Keyes posted a 0.830 save percentage and a 8.27 goals against average from 15 games.
Skyler Luo: Fourth season with A21 Academy. Playing on their under-18 team in the Canadian High School Hockey system Luo recorded 30 points from 46 games.
Maxim Lyashenko: Fourth season with the Ontario Hockey Academy. Playing on their under-18 team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League’s Eastern U18 division Lyashenko recorded 32 points from 36 games.
Courtney Mahoney: First season with the Ontario Hockey Academy. Playing on their Prep under-18 AA women’s team in the Ontario Women’s Hockey League’s U18 AA division Mahoney recorded four goals from nine games.
Elizabeth Marshall: First season with the Athol Murray College of Notre Dame. Marshall played one game for their Hounds Midget AAA team in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League.
Nick Ponomarev: Second season with A21 Academy. Playing on their under-18 team in the Canadian High School Hockey system Ponomarev scored nine points in his 53 games.
Shai Rabinowitz: First season playing in the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League after spending most of it in the United States playing in the Federal Prospects Hockey League. Rabinowitz played one game with the Bytown Royals where he scored a goal and an assist.
