The East Coast Super League have announced the cancellation of the two games scheduled for 10 September. The cancelation is a result of the temporary closure of the Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink for repairs. The two games would have seen the Sydney Bombers hosting the Polyflor Raptors and the Reach Rebels taking on the Sydney Sting. It is currently unclear if the games will be cancelled outright and declared nil-all ties (as previously the case) or if they will be rescheduled.
Update: Both games have now been updated to nil-all ties. The regular season is also concluded with the Sydney Bombers claiming the regular season title, their first since 2019. The competition now moves onto the playoffs with the first round of the semifinals set for 18 September. The Newcastle Northstars will host the Polyflor Raptors in the first semifinal and the the Reach Rebels will take on the Sydney Bombers in the second semifinal.
