The Perth Sharks have been competing in the 2022 Ice Hockey WA Premier League season during the AJIHL off-season. Coverage of the Sharks will continue in the 2022–23 AJIHL season which begins on 11 November.
The Perth Sharks have lost the best-of-three finals West Coast Flyers Blue in the 2022 Ice Hockey WA Premier League playoffs. Ending the regular season in third the Sharks started the month of with the semifinals in which they were drawn against the second placed West Coast Flyers Orange. The Sharks went on to win their semifinal 8–4 and advanced to the best-of-three finals. In the other semifinal the first ranked Flyers Blue defeated the fourth ranked Cockburn Blackhawks 2–0 to advance.
The Sharks started the finals against the Flyers Blue with a 3–4 loss but bounced back in game two with a 3–2 overtime win. The Sharks went on to lose the final game of the series 1–4 with the Flyers Blue claiming the championship title.
