The Newcastle Northstars ECSL roster has been released for the 2023 East Coast Super League season. The Northstars kicked their season off on 25 March with a 0–5 forfeit of their game against the Reach Rebels before bouncing back on 26 March with a 6–0 win against the Sydney Heat. Comparing to the Northstars’ 2022 roster new players include Hunter Almasi, Scott Dewar, Luke Doré, Hunter Ellen, Mackenzie Gallagher, Drew MacIntyre, Melker Molund, Matthew Montgomery, Matt Murrell, Josh Secomb, James Shafren, Connor Schultz and Andrew Smardon. While players dropped include Nicholas Brooks, Erik Carlsson, Benjamin Chalker, Glendon Inkster, Cooper Nadin, Sean Oultram, Harrison Payne, Jason Polglase, Chris Shephard, Paul Smith, Ethan Spelde, Zac Thame and Matt Wrankmore.
