The Perth Thunder have announced the signing of Hungarian forward Nátán Vertes for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Vertes spent 2023–24 playing for Fehérvár AV19 in the ICE Hockey League and for Fehérvár Hockey Academy 19 in the Erste Liga. With Fehérvár AV19, Vertes recorded four goals and three assists from 35 games and with Fehérvár Hockey Academy 19 he recorded four assists in five games.
Between 2015 and 2024 Vertes has spent time playing in the Champions Hockey League, Erste Bank Juniors League, Erste Bank Young Stars League, Erste Liga, ICE Hockey League, NCAA’s Division I, North American Hockey League, U18 Bajnokság, U18 SM-sarja, U20 SM-liiga, and the U20 Bajnokság. He is also a current member of the Hungarian men’s national team having competed in 13 games across the last three seasons.
