The Brisbane Lightning have re-signed defender Mikko Rippon for the 2024 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Rippon competed in 27 games for the Lightning in his 2023 debut season, recording seven assists. During the AIHL’s off-season Rippon has been playing for St Francis High School in the Midwest Prep Hockey League (MPHL) and the United States High School’s Preparatory system (USHS-Prep). In the MPHL he recorded seven points from 13 games and in the USHS-Prep he scored 16 points in 37 games.
