Newcastle Northstars goaltender Charlie Smart has been named the Skaters Network AIHL Player of the Week for the weekend of 27 and 28 July 2024. Smart faced 23 shots and recorded his first shutout of the season in his team’s win against the Central Coast Rhinos on 28 July.
