Australians overseas 2023–24: United Kingdom (part 1)

Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2023–24 season. Today is Part 1 of 2 featuring Australians in the United Kingdom.

Anna Badaoui (WNIHL profile): Second season with the Solihull Vixens. Playing in the Elite Division of the Women’s National Ice Hockey League, Badaoui competed in 18 games, recording five goals and three assists.

Jackson Bowers (BUIHA profile): First season in England. Playing for Southampton Spitfires in the British Universities Ice Hockey Association’s (BUIHA) Checking Division 2 South, Bowers recorded two goals and two assists from eight games. Bowers also competed in a five games for the Southampton Spitfires B in the BUIHA’s Non-Checking Division 1 South where he recorded seven goals and two assists.

Ethan Chan (BUIHA profile): Second with the the Northumbria Kings. Playing in the British Universities Ice Hockey Association’s (BUIHA) Checking Division 2 North, Chan competed in six games. He also made seven appearances for the Northumbria Kings B in the Non-Checking Division 1 North where he recorded four goals and three assists.

Aiden Downie (Scottish Ice Hockey profile): First season in Scotland. Playing for the Fife Flames in the Scottish U16 League, Downie recorded seven goals and twelve assists from nine games. Downie also competed in five games for the Fife Falcons in the Scottish U19 League where he recorded two assists.
