Brisbane Lightning sign Marcus Henderson and Stephen McCann

The Brisbane Lightning have added goaltenders Marcus Henderson and Stephen McCann to their roster ahead of their game against the Perth Thunder on 10 August at the Perth Ice Arena.

Henderson joins the club after making his Australian Ice Hockey League debut for the Perth Thunder on 3 August where he faced 15 shots and recorded a 0.733 save percentage. Henderson is also competing in Ice Hockey WA’s Premier League for the West Coast Flyers Orange where he currently has a 0.831 save percentage from 15 games.

McCann is currently playing for the West Coast Flyers Blue in Ice Hockey WA’s Premier League where he currently has competed in 15 games and recorded a save percentage of 0.838. McCann is a former member of the Australian men’s national under-18 and under-20 teams having competed at the U18 World Championships in 2015 and at the U20 World Championships in 2016 and 2017.
