Canberra Brave have defeated the Sydney Bears 5–2 in their semifinal game of the 2024 Goodall Cup playoffs. Canberra had qualified for the match after defeating the Perth Thunder in yesterday’s preliminary round and Sydney had qualified after finishing the regular season in first on the Hellyer Conference standings. Canberra now advance to tomorrow’s Goodall Cup final where they will take on the winner of today’s other semifinal match between the Melbourne Ice and Newcastle Northstars.
