The Newcastle Northstars have announced the re-signing of Canadian forward Francis Drolet for the upcoming 2025 Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL) season. Drolet played 31 games for Newcastle in 2024, scoring 24 goals and 38 assists. Since making his league debut in 2019, he has competed in 104 AIHL games and recorded 216 points. During the AIHL’s off-season, Drolet has been competing for Albatros de Brest in the FFHG Division 1, where, at the time of writing, he has recorded 15 points from 18 games.
