The Australian men’s national team have the defeated New Zealand men’s national team 5–2 in the second game of the 2025 Trans-Tasman Ice Hockey Challenge at Paradice Botany in Auckland, New Zealand. Thomas Steven led the scoring for Australia with two goals, followed by Ellesse Carini, Casey Kubara, and Maxim Lyashenko with one each. . For New Zealand their goals were scored by Ian Audas and Justin Daigle. Australia leads the series two games to nil having won the opening game yesterday. Competition resumes tomorrow for the final game of the three-game series.
