Canberra Brave sign Hwanhee Kang

Canberra Brave has announced the signing of South Korean defenceman Hwanhee Kang for the upcoming 2025 Australian Ice Hockey League season. Kang has spent 2024–25 playing for HC Dukla Senica in the 2. Slovenská hokejová liga where he currently has a goal and five assists from twenty-two games.

Before joining Senica, Kang had spent a season in the Asia League with the Daemyung Killer Whales and a season in the U-League system with Kwangwoon University. He also a former representative of the South Korean national team having competed in the 2022 IIHF World Championship Division I Group A tournament.
