As the Australian Women’s Tier 2 Show Case Series is still absent from the calendar we have decided to continue our coverage of the Melbourne Chargers as they compete in IceHQ’s Beer League competitions.
After competing in Pool B3 last season and finishing at the bottom of the standings the Melbourne Chargers have been placed in Pool B4 for the 2021-22 iceHQ Summer Beer League season. The Chargers opened their 2021-22 season with a 2-4 loss to the Animals on 19 November and a 0-9 defeat by the Reapers on 26 November. The team currently sits last on the standings, four points off the Reapers who are leading the league.
