2024 Kurt Defris National Championship: 16 July results and standings

Day 5 of the 2024 Kurt Defris National Championship saw the completion of the preliminary round with wins for Queensland and South Australia. New South Wales finished at the top of the standings and advanced to the semifinal against the fourth placed Victoria. Western Australia finished second and moved through to the semifinal against South Australia. Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory meanwhile finish the preliminary round in fifth and sixth place respectively and fail to advance.

In the first semifinal New South Wales defeated Victoria 9–1 and in the second semifinal South Australia shutout Western Australia 3–0. Competition resumes tomorrow with New South Wales taking on South Australia in the gold medal game while Victoria and Western Australia will play for bronze.
