Continuing our look at the Australian players who were competing overseas during the 2023–24 season. Today is Part 4 of 9 featuring Australians in the United States.
Gunnar Hart (USPHL Elite profile and USPHL Premier profile profiles): Third season with the Potomac Patriots. Playing for their 18U AAA team in the Tier 1 Hockey Federation’s 18U division, Hart competed in 35 games, recording 16 goals and 10 assists. He also made two appearances for Potomac’s team in the United States Premier Hockey League’s (USPHL) Elite division and was part of Potomac’s team in the USPHL’s Premier division.
Louden Hogg (Holy Cross profile): Second season with the College of the Holy Cross. Competing in the NCAA’s Division I, Hogg finished the season with no game time with the team but was named to the 2023–24 Atlantic Hockey America Men’s League All-Academic Team, an honour which recognises student-athletes who achieve a grade point average of 3.0 or above.
Bryce Kitching: First season with Gilmour Academy High after spending 2022–23 with the Cleveland Barons. Playing in the United States High School’s Ohio system, Kitching recorded a 0.915 save percentage and a 2.22 goals against average from nine games. Heading into 2024–25, Kitching has signed with Boston Hockey Academy to play on their 16U AAA team.
Dmitri Kuleshov (NA3HL profile): First season with the Great Falls Americans after spending 2022–23 with the Minnesota Loons. Playing in the North American 3 Hockey League, Kuleshov recorded 30 goals and 23 assists from 43 games.
Lucas Lian: Second season with Hillside School. Playing in the United States High School’s Massachusetts system, Lian competed in 30 games, recording eleven goals and eleven assists. Lian also made three appearances for the Boston Imperials’ 15U AAA team in the United Tier 1 Hockey League’s 15U division and five appearances for the Little Rhody Hockey Club’s U15 team at the World Selects Invitational tournament.
