2018-19 AJIHL season: Round 3

Round 3 of the 2018-19 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season has finished with Adelaide Generals picking up two wins and the Glaciers one win from their three game series at the O’Brien Group Arena. The Generals remain at the top of the Southern Division and League standings while the Sydney Wolf Pack lead the Northern Division. Next week the Brisbane Blitz host the Sydney Sabres at Iceworld Boondall.

2018-19 AJIHL season: Round 2

Round 2 of the 2018-19 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Adelaide Generals picking up two wins and the Glaciers one win from their three game series at the Adelaide Ice Arena. The Generals move to the top of the league standings, three points clear of the second placed Wolf Pack. Competition resumes on 1 December with the Generals travelling to Melbourne to take on the Glaciers in a three game series at the O’Brien Group Arena.

Melbourne Glaciers
The Glaciers have begun a slow release of their player roster for the 2018-19 AJIHL season. Players announced so far include:
– Bobby Huang. First season with the Glaciers
Christian Pansino. Second season with the Glaciers
Elijah West-Testa. Third season with the Glaciers
Damon Parolin. Second season with the Glaciers
Isaac Norris. Played two seasons with the Brisbane Blitz (2016-2018)

Adelaide Generals 2018-19 roster

The Adelaide Generals have announced their roster for the upcoming 2018-19 AJIHL season. Into the roster are Timothy Benson, Andrew Chen (from A21 Academy), Jake Hazel, Brandon Hodge, Craig Meharry, Jolyon Oakey and Cameron Pope. While players dropped from the roster include Zachary Boyle, Kyle Collier, Ted Fabijan, Kayne Fedor, Ryan Foll, Jordan Geyer, Aaron Grubb (to Seaforth Generals), Leo Hildebrand, Damon Hoad, Bradley Rowe, Brandon Taylor and Charlie Wragg.

Round 1 of the 2018-19 Australian Junior Ice Hockey League season has finished with the Sydney Wolf Pack and Sydney Sabres each picking up a win from their double header. The Wolf Pack take first place on the standings, edging out the Sabres on goal difference. Next week the Adelaide Generals host the Melbourne Glaciers in a three game series at the Ice Arena.

AJIHL news: 25 October 2018

Melbourne Glaciers
– The Glaciers have announced the signing of Michael Flaherty to the position of head coach for the 2018-19 season, replacing Warren Porter in the role. Flaherty previously coached the club during the 2012-13 season and also spent two seasons at the Melbourne Whalers. For more information see the announcement from the club.
– The Glaciers have also signed Damian Bright to the position of assistant coach. Bright replaces Jamie Hodic in the role. For more information see the announcement from the club.
