The Sting have defeated the Reach Rebels in two games to win the 2015 East Coast Super League playoffs and claim the Warwick Griffith Memorial Trophy. The Sting defeated the Rebels 7-1 in Game 1 and 2-1 in overtime for Game 2. The win gives the Sting there third ECSL Championship title, more than any other club apart from the Newcastle North Stars who also have three. The series used a best of three game format instead of the cumulative aggregate format used in the semifinals.
