The 2014 Sydney Tange National Championship was completed today with Western Australia defeating New South Wales 3 – 1 in the gold medal game. The Tange tournament is open to players 18 and under and is held between the State Associations. This years tournament consisted of teams from New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. All games were held at the Medibank Icehouse in Melbourne and the tournament ran from 18 June to 21 June. WA’s Thomas Steven top scored for the tournament finishing with 13 points which included six goals and seven assists. New South Wales’ goaltender Jeremie Dubois finished the tournament with the best save percentage of 0.958.
