The 2016 Wilson Cup is scheduled to begin on 19 March with the Sydney Bears taking on the Sydney Ice Dogs at the Penrith Ice Arena. The Wilson Cup, founded in 2007, involves the three New South Wales teams of the Australian Ice Hockey League and was won last year by the Newcastle North Stars. The 2016 edition will be a double round-robin schedule followed by a final between the two highest ranked teams.
