The Australian women’s national under-18 team have won their final game of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 Women’s World Championship Division I Group B Qualification tournament, defeating Romania 10-0. Forward Madison Poole was named best Australian player of the match and goaltender Keesha Atkins best Australian player of the tournament. In the other game of the day Spain defeated Mexico 3-2. Australia finish the tournament in first place and are promoted to Division I Group B for 2018.
